English Dub Review: How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer “That Time I Went to Your Place and…”
Overview:
While talking to Kohaku at the bar, Hagi realizes he has romantic feelings for her.
Our Take:
I understand that a romance show with absolutely no misunderstandings would be pretty boring, but sometimes in anime, they border on unbelievable. Kohaku hurt Hagi’s feelings and went to his house to try and cheer him up, but his sister was there, and when she saw that, she made an assumption. Now I can understand why she would make that assumption, but who would run away the second they saw that? Realistically, they would say something, and then Hagi would realize the confusion and clear it up. In the next episode, they’re all going camping, so I don’t know if things got cleared up in between or what.
Hagi is an interesting character because he’s been the most “honest” when it comes to how he feels. He knows that he likes Kohaku and is trying to figure out if he is bisexual, so he had Suo hit on him to see if it made his heart skip a beat. When it didn’t, he realized it was because WHO was talking to him, not their gender that made him feel that way. Hagi’s voice actor gets on my nerves a little bit with how whiny he makes him sound, but that might be more the character than the actor.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
