English Dub Review: Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You. “Playing Nice”

Overview:

Shugo’s older brother, Togo, makes a surprise return to Koigahama Highlands.

Our Take:

I’m starting to lose interest in this show fast. This is mainly because a show strictly a harem doesn’t hold my attention for long. Not only that, but I think this might be one of the biggest harems in a show I’ve seen and it’s continuing to grow. Maybe if Mizuho showed more interest in romance, it would be interesting, but outside of the first episode, when she confessed to someone, and now we learned that Togo was her first crush, she doesn’t seem to care. Kizuki’s confession got her thinking about him in that way more, but that was a couple of moments.

As I’ve mentioned before, most of the background characters are painted over like they don’t exist at all. So when we see a female character that doesn’t look like that and has speaking lines, it makes me take notice. She’s a teacher that Shugo spends his lunch with, and her name is Shiraishi. I hope that since Togo is now a student teacher at their school (I know it’s annoying) that he’s going to go after her since she’s a woman his age and not a student. I’m hoping Togo showing interest in Mizuho is a red herring to get the boys off their ass, but with how this has been going I’m not gonna hold my breath.
