English Dub Review: Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You. “Impulse”

Overview:

The group goes on a camping trip! Airu tells Shin to be more selfish, and he follows his suggestion.

Our Take(Spoilers):

Look, I can’t complain too much because at least someone is doing something to try to move the plot forward. But something about the way Shin kissed Mizuho rubbed me the wrong way. I know this is a romance anime, and to be specific, it’s a shojo romance anime. The guys in shojo anime like to play fast and loose when it comes to consent, and in this episode, it was Shin’s turn. Mizuho went out of her cabin expecting Kizuki, and he kissed her, no warning or anything.

I think it’s become clear at this point that I’m not the biggest fan of this show. It bothers me when shows like this get a second season announcement this soon when there are shows like 86 that will probably never see a second season. With a show like Medaka Kuroiwa, I have at least talked to people who like it, but I haven’t seen one person say they enjoyed this show. The best thing I can say about this show is that I am looking forward to the fallout of Shin kissing Mizuho.
