Toei Animation & THE STRAW HAT CREW Return TO Fenway for 2025’S Boston Red Sox X One Piece Theme Day
Last August’s “ONE PIECE Night” at Fenway Park was a major home run and one of the most successful location-based entertainment experiences of the year-long 25th Anniversary celebration of “ONE PIECE.” So much so, that the legendary anime studio Toei Animation and the famed Boston Red Sox are joining forces once again to collaborate on another theme event. This year’s Boston Red Sox X ONE PIECE Theme Day will take place on Saturday, May 3 during the team’s match-up with the Minnesota Twins. This will be one of Toei Animation’s newly launched national series of ONE PIECE theme events with some of MLB’s top teams, which was developed based on fans’ response to the first Boston Red Sox collaboration in 2024.
Tickets for Boston Red Sox X ONE PIECE Theme Day are on-sale now and are available for purchase exclusively at either redsox.com/onepiece or the Fenway Park ticket office. Fans can choose between General Admission and VIP ticket packages, which will include either a commemorative ONE PIECE Boston Red Sox jersey or a commemorative ONE PIECE Boston Red Sox jersey and baseball hat set, respectively. Last year’s “ONE PIECE Night” was a sell out and fans are encouraged to act quickly.

“One Piece” is produced by Toei Animation and based on the best-selling manga created by Eiichiro Oda. This iconic episodic series follows pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew on their epic quest to find “One Piece,” the legendary treasure of Gol D. Rogers, former King of the Pirates. Now over 25 years since its Japanese TV premiere in 1999, “One Piece” has taken its place in mainstream pop culture—attracting millions of fans of all ages and around the world. Today, the franchise has grown to encompass 15 feature films, numerous video games, a trading card game and an ever-expanding catalog of licensed merchandise and location-based entertainment.
As previously announced at Jump Festa 2025 in December, “One Piece” and its Egghead arc are set to return this spring with fresh new weekly episodes for fans to enjoy once again, following the series’ six-month-long production break. Toei Animation Inc. distributes the show in English.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
