English Dub Review: Ishura “Atrazek the Particle Storm, Part Two”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Toroa the Awful confronts Mestelexil the Box of Desperate Knowledge as the Particle Storm nears.
Our Take:
With how formidable this “particle storm” turned out, it’s no wonder this season requires a two-parter, and deservedly so. It’s already gotten off to a solid start thanks to its battle between Toroa and Mestelexil, the latter of which seems capable of destroying the storm. But, of course, their showdown was interrupted by the incoming deadly tornado, proclaiming itself to be Atrazek, who’s anything but merciful due to its fatal winds. With a threat this big, it’s typical that the two Shuras would have to team up against their common foe, which happens to be a giant sandworm cloaking itself with winds. But, as it turns out, Toroa and Mestelexil are not alone in the fight, as Kuuro assists Mele the Horizon’s Roar in taking out Atrazek while realizing the true purpose behind his clairvoyance.
Due to the restrained narrative, I wouldn’t call the show’s first two-parter a grand event for the ages. However, it’s still a consistently entertaining double-length episode that carries enough stakes in its characters. The most notable one is Kuuro, whose arc came to a satisfying climax in regards to his realization behind his clairvoyance, in which he’s destined to use his ability to help people instead of himself, resulting in him finally killing Atrazek. It’s a rewarding piece of character development that has Kuuro finding peace in himself and even love with his winged companion. With the storm out of the picture due to Linaris the Obsidian, who else would be the next Shura to be a formidable threat as the “Games” approach further?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
