Our Take

This time around, Alina faces the challenge of balancing her hard work at the guild with her hopes of enjoying the upcoming festival. The guild becomes chaotic due to a flood of adventurers, causing her to be overwhelmed by overtime. Meanwhile, Lululi wrestles with self-doubt and the desire to regain her confidence, adding a personal layer to the episode’s events.

The rest of the episode’s proceedings, puts focus on various character moments which thankfully remains entertaining, with Alina’s dedication clashing against her exhaustion, and Lyra’s misunderstanding leading to humorous moments. Of course the story doesn’t really pick up until the spread of a baseless yet dangerous rumor begins to gain the attention of various Guilds. And consequently, Alina now has a goal and refuses to let the overtime aspect of this rumor fuck with that goal any further…

Overall, while the episode effectively sets the stage for a major story arc, the plot it continues to occasionally stumbles in places. Clearly the show’s biggest plot hole is Alina’s OCD working against her to finish such work-related tasks. So why doesn’t she just ask her boss for time off during the festival? Then she could enjoy the whole day and not just time after work? Oh Wait because then she wouldn’t have a fucking end-goal! Hopefully this story arc leads to something with a bigger payoff because I’d like to know who the hell is spreading these baseless rumors and if this is in any way connected to Alina’s past?
