English Dub Review: Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four! “The Art of Managing People.”
Overview
Uchimura is off to go on his first business trip to the Golden Kingdom, where he must negotiate a trade with the formidable Rampage King. Will his previous experiences help him get the deal he needs to solve the current crisis?
Our Take
This time around, it was a welcome change to see Uchimura face setbacks instead of his usual easy successes. From a narrative standpoint, A hero sometimes needs to suffer and face a unique challenge that keeps the audience on their toes to make their victory feel earned, otherwise the story gets too repetitive. The Rampage King despite placing an order for a product Uchimura was trying to sell should have been required to pay a deposit for such a large and time-sensitive order, especially considering the pressure on Sylphid and the others to meet the demands without any money upfront…
At the very least, the Demon Lord’s guidance was a key highlight: “Do not blame yourself for your failures. Blame yourself for doing nothing after.” His supportive approach toward his subordinates stands in stark contrast to Uchimura’s earlier experiences, emphasizing growth and resilience, while Ulmandra’s attempt to comfort Uchimura was also a touching moment, though it was unfortunately cut short by an unexpected yet comical interruption…
Overall, this episode blended character development with intriguing twists. While the plot may have felt a bit forced at times, the unexpected repercussions of a failed deal sets up some interesting possibilities. And with lingering questions about certain events, I can’t wait to see how Uchimura will get himself out of this mess.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
