English Dub Review: Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You. “Fireworks for the Future”
Overview:
After spending the day at the aquarium, Kizuki asks Mizuho to cheer for him at his swim meet.
Our Take:
I’m thinking if there was more focus on Mizuho in the future with flashbacks thrown in instead of the other way around. Maybe they aren’t doing it that way because it would “spoil” the past parts but it seems to me that those are already spoiled. We know that Mizuho isn’t married and is single so whatever happens during her high school days doesn’t matter. Unless some tragedy happens and perhaps because they’ve made a point of showing that it takes place during COVID someone gets the disease and dies.
If I had to guess I would imagine that something happens to Kizuki because we haven’t seen any mention of him in the future parts. Two of the guys are present and accounted for so far but there’s still time. Shin asks Mizuho’s father for permission to marry her if he becomes a doctor and we see in the future that he is a doctor. Mizuho also says that she spent the fireworks show with the person she loved most and Kizuki was busy swimming at the time. Maybe if I look at this show more like a mystery as opposed to a romance I’ll enjoy it more.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
