Rumors: Marvel Thinking About POWER PACK and KID KAIJU Animated Adaptations With A Third Season Of Our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

On January 29th, Disney+ will be debuting their brand-new animated series Our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man with rumors swirling that not only is the second season well into production but that a third season has been ordered as well. In a year of animation debuts coming to the streaming service, this is impressive news and could be a great model to follow that could well out-last the actual MCU.

With that said, Daniel RPK isn’t the most reliable source around, but news outlets pick him up repeatedly leaving the likes of heavyweights like James Gunn to constantly let everyone know that whatever report is coming from Daniel, usually isn’t accurate. That’s why I like to label my reports as “rumors” so as to treat them as such until actual confirmation from the media conglomerates which, in Daniel’s case, usually never happens. That said, here’s a fun one that that’s now floating around the webs.

That being potential animated adaptations of two Marvel properties, Power Pack and Kid Kaiju. For those that don’t know, Power Pack is a team of four pre-teens that get powers from an alien and Kid Kaiju who is able to summon monsters that he draws. Again, these are just rumors for now and should be treated as such, but Power Pack seems a rather obvious inclusion of an MCU that probably wants to go younger over the next several years though ardent fans of Marvel Comics may be leery if the animated adaptation doesn’t keep some semblance of some of the more adult subject matter that the team would take on including that of sexual abuse of minors.

In any event, we’ll keep an eye out and see if this comes to fruition.
