English Dub Review: Tower of God “The Cost of Battle” “Return of the King”

Overview:

Viole (Bam), Khun, and Rak, who once thought each other dead, are reunited. Khun’s team makes an enemy of FUG and the Workshop, but at the suggestion of former 2nd Floor Test Admin Lero Ro, who has been secretly working to help Viole escape, they decide to leave the arena with the losers before the final begins. Reflejo uses the dying Hwaryun as a hostage to force Viole into a final confrontation.

While Reflejo, Viole (Bam), Khun, and Rak are engaged in their final showdown, FUG and the Workshop attempt to pour a solution capable of melting everything into the area… Lero Ro and Endorsi rush to their three companions in order to save them, but FUG Rankers and Team Mad Dog stand in their way! Will Viole and the others be able to escape safely?!

Our Take:

Finally, everyone knows that Bam is alive and now for the most part the old gang is back together. I forgot how much fun it was to see Bam, Khun, and Rak working together. I don’t know if I would go so far as to say they’re unstoppable but I can understand why everyone thinks they are. No matter what happens I’m just glad that Bam doesn’t have to pretend to be someone he isn’t anymore. Even some members of his new team can’t help but comment and say they’ve never seen him happy like that before.

The other part that’s fantastic is one of the people they summoned was none other than Endorsi. You all know how I feel about her and I love getting to see her in action. I also thought it was funny that she referred to Viole (Bam) as her boyfriend. I hope that ends up being true but romance hasn’t exactly been one of this series strong points. But before anything sweet can happen Bam and crew have to escape from a chamber filling up with lava. Luckily, Lero Ro has been working behind the scenes so I think things will turn out okay.
