Our Take

This time around we get another “double feature” with the first episode picking up where the last double feature left off, continuing Sunraku and Rei to face their most challenging battle yet. Their opponent’s evolving tactics push them to the limit, forcing them to adapt and think outside the box. Sunraku’s quick thinking and clever strategies complement Rei’s overwhelming power, creating a thrilling display of teamwork. The stunning animation heightens the tension, making every moment feel high-stakes. Just when victory seems possible, an unexpected turn keeps the outcome uncertain and the danger far from over.

The second episode raises the stakes even further as Sunraku and Rei receive much-needed reinforcements. The expanded team dynamic introduces new strategies, shifting the flow of battle in unexpected ways. As the fight intensifies, hidden truths begin to emerge, revealing deeper mysteries behind their opponent and the game’s mechanics. With the tension mounting and the showdown approaching, a potential conclusion, it certainly wasn’t boring.

Overall, both these episodes delivered in spades in terms of action, strategy, and character growth. The fast-paced fights, clever tactics, and growing mysteries keep the momentum strong, making for one hell of a watch. The stunning animation in combination with all of it also helped make everything feel high-stakes with a strong sense of escalation. But now I’m curious how many parts this arc can be after this, especially after they changed both the intro and outro which were also entertaining in different ways.
