English Dub Review: Tower of God “The End of Dawn”

Overview:

Viole finally acquires Enryu’s “Thorn.” Reflejo, who has been trying to develop the Thorn along with Viole, even if it means involving the entire Workshop Battle, desperately tries to prevent him from escaping. They attempt to outsmart him by summoning Viole, who is currently an item, from the shop’s summoning station, but…!

Our Take:

This battle is wild, people are items that can be summoned, and the team faces all sorts of potential deaths. Speaking of deaths, I don’t know how Wangnan is still breathing, he has a fist through his stomach. That might be my biggest anime pet peeve, the characters will suffer these catastrophic injuries and then talk and move like they only sprained their ankle or something. Wangnan managed to summon Viole in this instance which is hard to believe but what are you gonna do?

Deep down I know that Wagnan probably won’t die but it rubs me the wrong way when people can talk like normal with a hole in their chest. Now that Viole is summoned and he’s back with the homies I hope that we get to see him go to town on Beta. He has an apt name, even though I don’t agree with the alpha vs beta train of thought, that boy is a beta.
