Our Take

The latest episode ramps up the tension as the characters face intense challenges, both in battle and within themselves. The stakes are higher than ever, with key confrontations setting the stage for major turning points in the story. Each character’s actions contribute to the unfolding chaos, adding layers of emotion and urgency to the unfolding narrative.

The rest of the proceedings was spent on some decent action and great character moments, though the pacing occasionally stumbles a bit, and some sequences feel less impactful than expected. At the very least, certain characters get their moments to shine in the face of adversity. And really knows how to set up its cliffhanger, especially regarding who Haruto is about to be up against…

Overall, the episode serves as a turning point, laying the groundwork for Haruto’s long-awaited revenge. Although the execution leaves much to be desired in terms of pacing and animation quality, strong character moments and escalating stakes keep the story engaging while also leaving me hooked. And with two episodes left, I can’t wait to see where it goes next!
