English Dub Review: Nina the Starry Bride “The Love That Cannot Be”

Overview:

Sett is confined to his wing of the castle for violating tournament rules. Realizing conquering Fortna may be more difficult than expected, the king reschedules Nina’s wedding for one month from now.

Our Take(Spoilers):

So many things happened in this episode that I don’t know where to start. The King of Galgada, Noa Halle, has decided that Sett will marry Nina and he will become king. Then a war with Fortna will begin, which as you might have guessed is something that Nina would like to avoid. She goes to see Sett and pleads with him to not invade Fortna to try to ensure that doesn’t happen. Surprisingly, he agrees, but then tragedy happens as he appears to choke on his tea and begins to spit up blood. Hikami comes in and Nina is relieved that she’s there to help but then she pulls a dagger!

I think we’ve all figured out that Hikami poisoned Sett and is now planning to finish the job. There is going to be a lot of fallout from what happens at the end of this episode, I know that Hikami has Nina’s best interests at heart but I hate when people do things like this without discussing it with the person first. This is a little ironic considering that’s exactly what Nina did when she left for Galgada without telling Azure, perhaps he had a plan as well? I honestly have no idea who I’m rooting for anymore. Sett has shown considerable growth since we met him, and Azure has started to behave recklessly.
