English Dub Review: The Prince of Tennis II U-17 World Cup “Tezuka vs. Yukimura”
Overview
Continuing the World Cup Semifinals is Team Germany’s Tezuka versus Team Japan’s Yukimura in #2 singles. Tezuka is now their opponent, so Team Japan goes all out to gain victory against their former teammate.
Our Take
While the first half was unique in terms of whatever story it was trying to tell, the second half of the proceedings delivered the most excitement, focusing on the intense tennis action and dramatic stakes that fans have come to expect. The contrasts between different play styles added an extra layer of intrigue, as characters continued to push their limits in pursuit of victory even if it exaggerated in places.
The rest of the proceedings also delivered in spades with it’s tension and suspense surrounding the tournament’s outcome, with every match playing a pivotal role in determining the team’s path forward. As the series builds toward its climax, questions linger about who will rise to the occasion and how the narrative will resolve the intense competition.
Overall, the thoughtful character moments, and hints of future twists made this episode a standout. As the competition heats up, the series continues to deliver a perfect mix of nostalgia and fresh energy, which more than makes up for the wackiness of the last episode as I’m now eager to see how it all unfolds.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
