English Dub Review: Nina the Starry Bride “The Great Nation’s Dream”

Overview:

Sett comes to Nina’s rescue, and the two are stuck together for the rest of the night as they await help. Sett’s brothers come to greet them as they arrive in the capital, and Nina’s strong personality very quickly makes an impression.

Our Take:

I’ve always been enamored with the idea of a pet tiger or bear and Nina gets to live my dream. She was attacked by a tiger and Sett rescued her with his gun. Allow me to get sidetracked a little, maybe it’s the history nerd in me but I’ve always like flintlock firearms and seeing Sett use one was cool. But of course Sett was injured in his rescue of Nina. Nina (the bird) noticed that there was another creature nearby and this one is smaller. Unfortunately, the tiger that Sett killed was the mama tiger to this baby tiger. But Nina (the person) being who she is decided to adopt the baby tiger and I’m ashamed to admit that might be my favorite part of this show and what I’m most looking forward to the rest of the way.

Sett was first in line to be king but now that seems to be up in the air. I believe the queen has made a proclamation that whoever can “conquer” Fortna will be the king. I would say Sett is in the driver seat at least because of his relationship with Nina. But I’d be lying if I said the implications aren’t a little concerning. I hope I’m wrong but I have a feeling that Nina is going to be treated like an object over the next few episodes and I’m not looking forward to that. Hopefully we just get to see cute baby tiger moments instead.
