English Dub Review: Delico’s Nursery “The Battle of Gray Cat Town”

Overview:

Dali learns from Banri that Juras is in Gray Cat Town. Meanwhile, the members of Pendulum, who’ve taken the children hostage, find that they have their hands full looking after them.

Our Take:

I understand that many people don’t like big, lengthy exposition dumps, but I think this show could have benefitted from one. I have so many questions about this world and how it operates, but it doesn’t seem like we’re going to get any answers anytime soon. Deli and his friends are talking with a couple of humans and I found myself wondering what role humans play in this vampiric society. Are they cattle that feed the vampires? Or are vampires similar to ethnicity in our world? The vampires here just seem to eat normal food.

It seems like we’re in a situation where some of the bad guys are becoming good or at the very least just not as bad as others. But there was one fight scene in this episode that was pretty poorly animated and with the story stagnating as well, I’m starting to get worried about where this is going. I hope we start to get some lore dumps soon because the potential is there.
