English Dub Review: No Longer Allowed in Another World “Tonight I Shall Die, I Ride So That It Will Kill Me”
OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
While the group celebrate their victory over Greed, Sensei is visited by the person he least expected: his beloved Sacchan.
OUR TAKE
It seems we’re no longer allowed to see what happens next as No Longer Allowed in Another World comes to a close, at least for now. No announcement of a second season has been made as of yet, though you wouldn’t guess that by watching this finale, because it’s pretty much all set up for a presumptive next season. Everyone is naturally feeling good about having beaten two of the seven Fallen Angels, but as mentioned in the Overview, Sensei finally gets to see the person who he’s been searching for this whole time: Sacchan. Though little does he know that Sacchan has also found a group to hang with, as she is actually one of the remaining Fallen Angels, meaning that he may get to finish that suicide pact with her after all, though after getting rid of the other four. Bringing her in at this point is actually a pretty good move in my opinion, since we’ve seen how Sensei has grown and changed as a person as he has gone on these adventures and faced great foes, but now we see that the thing he searched and yearned for, being with Sacchan, is still on the horizon but just out of his reach. Essentially, his Sacchan is LITERALLY in another castle.
As such, this finally is mostly about Sensei coming to terms with things as they are and learning what to do next, which apparently involves him going to some fairy land to talk with a giant boob lady (like she’s giant AND has giant boobs). She gives him a whistle that helps him summon a fairy of his own, Solulu, which is fitting since she seems like the solution to some sort of delulu. Hard to say if she’ll be a new permanent traveling companion or is simply there to clean up messes, but again, something we could find out if we knew whether or not we were getting a second season. As said, I think it’s probably just a matter of time, at least depending on how well this show did in ratings and sales, but at the every least it did make me WANT to see another season of this story, which is a lot more than I can say for a LOT of other shows I have covered this year. But now it’s time to look back on all THIS season gave us in the season review next week.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
