English Dub Review: NieR:Automata Ver1.1a the [E]nd of YoRHa”
Overview
The fight between A2 and 9S intensifies as an unexpected yet meaningful conclusion has been reached…
Our Take
This episode took the chance in terms of escalation and suspense. And thankfully, it manages to capture certain aspects that mattered the most within the game’s lore. Along with an unexpected subplot with the floating pods really kept my attention throughout the proceedings.
However, the action sequences, character development, and exploration of philosophical themes shine throughout. And this could’ve all been Yoko Taro’s vision of how he wanted to end it given that he created the games and was involved during some of the comedic post-credits segments to a certain point…
Overall, while this episode/season, played out the themes of life and death and nihilism vs hope quite well. While also staying faithful to the spirit of the games. If you’re watching, make sure to stick around during the credits and post-credits as there’s some extra content that adds a nice touch for viewers. But if this is how Yoko Taro wanted to end this series, I’m 100% ok with it.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
