English Dub Review: Delico’s Nursery “The Second Nursery”

Overview:

Wary of a potential Pendulum strike on the Delico residence, the men send the children to stay with Clara, the Delico nanny. But something strange is happening to the oldest child, Theodore…

Our Take:

For some reason, this anime gives me a lot of Mars Red vibes. The stories are very different so maybe it’s because they’re both vampire stories, have unique animation, and are based on stage plays. Another way they are similar is that I have no idea what is happening. Nothing sets these characters apart as vampires other than their weird supernatural abilities. I don’t think we have even seen them drink blood, all in all, they seem mostly human to me but perhaps that is a part of the story yet to be revealed.

I am interested in what is happening with Theodore. He’s been hearing a voice speak to him from his teddy bear. During this episode, he mentioned as much to Clara and I wish she would have maybe said something about it but that at least lets me know it will be a plot point instead of just a cute quirk of his. Now THAT’s what I want to follow because it’s honestly creepy and something tells me that will lead us to our True of Vamp.
