English Dub Review: Berserk of Gluttony “The Guardian Of Lust”
Overview:
Fate arrives in Babylon and starts adapting to the pace of life and the ludicrous cost of living there. He encounters some of Galia’s native monsters. However, Fate quickly discovers that there are threats within the city as well.
Our Take:
This episode had a lot of interesting parts that I wasn’t expecting. With Fate being in the same city as Roxy I was sure they would run into each other eventually but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. After going on a big hunt for orcs, Fate got into a brawl at the guild hall. Since Roxy is a holy knight it makes sense that she would go to investigate a big disturbance in the city. This brought her face to face with Fate. I was wondering how she couldn’t tell it was him because his mask isn’t all that big but I forgot that it warps people’s perception of him.
With the seven deadly sins being a big theme for the series it’s no surprise that Fate would run into another one. This time he runs into the deadly sin of lust, and she is exactly what you would expect from someone with that sin. There are “generations” to the deadly sins and she isn’t one of the first gen so there is some more lore there that I’m hoping to learn. She also mentions a plot to kill Roxy and I wasn’t sure if she was implicit in it or just aware of it. Fate wasn’t happy and neither will I be if Roxy dies. I’m just upset that this show is getting extra fascinating as we near the end of this season with a continuation nowhere in sight. I suppose it’s a good thing we have the light novels to read if the anime doesn’t get another season.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
