English Dub Review: A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring “We’re Gonna Beat the Goblins!”

Overview:

Takumi and the twins take on a new mission, but the guild members and villagers are unsure if they are up to the task. After a tough battle, Takumi’s animal companions evolve and have a surprise in store.

Our Take:

When you see that goblins are involved in an anime nowadays you have to wonder if it’s the Goblin Slayer type of goblins. Luckily, these goblins were easy pickings for Takumi and his family. After rescuing a cat it seemed like goblins would be harder for them but after witnessing how they handled them I think they might have had more trouble locating the cat.

An unexpected twist to them defeating the goblins was that Takumi’s “animals” must have leveled up because they can all use telepathy and communicate with Takumi and the kids. This is pretty awesome because it’s starting to seem like this is going to be it for the found family we have developing here so it wouldn’t have been very enjoyable if half of the family couldn’t talk.

Look, this show isn’t reinventing isekai by any means. It’s fun, enjoyable, cute, and so far wholesome. If it keeps in line with those standards then I think this will turn out okay.
