English Dub Review: The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen “The Coldhearted Princess Sneaks In”

Overview:

Pride and her friends hatch a daring plan to rescue the kidnapped children.

Our Take:

This anime has gotten a lot better lately with this arc. I like a criminal character who’s rough around the edges but has a soft side for people they care about. Val ticks all those boxes and if it weren’t for me liking him and Pride together I would probably want him to stick with his childhood friend but we know whose show this is. Especially with Pride coming up with this plan to rescue all the kidnapped children I could see him being smitten after this is all said and done.

Using Gilbert’s ability to infiltrate the kidnapper’s base was pretty smart. The funny thing was that almost everyone changed their name to sound different from their current name but they only changed Gilbert’s name to “Gil” They didn’t think too hard about that one there.

The plan is going well and I hope the next episode brings this to a satisfying conclusion. With HiDive taking so long to dub many shows lately it has killed my excitement for some of their properties. This series for example came out almost a year ago and I feel confident that we won’t be getting a second season anytime soon.
