English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “Let You Down”

Overview:

As heroes and villains get ready for the coming battle, Deku and the others leave U.A., and Deku is called out by Aoyama, who is supposed to be in a police cell. What does Aoyama want?

Our Take:

When I went to click on this episode on the Crunchyroll website I saw some images and banners from past episodes. There were old pictures of Deku there and I was able to compare and contrast those images with the ones from this season. It made me sad because remember early Deku? He was so happy and full of life. He smiled no matter what problem came up but right now it seems like we haven’t seen him smile in a long time. Perhaps something will change soon because he and his friends managed to fool All for One for the first time.

All for One has a quirk that allows him to know if someone is lying or has malice towards him. When he spoke to Aoyama’s parents and Aoyama himself he wasn’t able to detect any of that so he felt safe. Luckily, Aoyama decided he wanted to be a hero and has turned against All for One and now the battle for the future has begun.
