English Dub Review: Gods’ Games We Play “The “Labyrinth” of Death and Rebirth: Luceimia”

Overview:

Fay and the other Apostles manage to find the save item which allows some of them to escape the labyrinth. Uroboros joins Fay and his party as they continue through the labyrinth.

Our Take:

I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that this series is getting a second cour. I say that because it doesn’t seem like we are anywhere close to a resolution of this current arc and we’re already on episode twelve. Sometimes I get surprised at what shows get longer seasons as opposed to others. I kind of miss the days when almost every series got at least twenty-four episodes to try and get you hooked, sometimes twelve just isn’t enough.

Having said that, I’m enjoying this arc a lot but it does seem like our heroes are in a game they can’t hope to win. Unless I misheard them it sounded like the god that’s running this particular game is no longer around for whatever reason. Does that mean victory is even possible? The way some of these games work doesn’t make sense to me. It can’t hurt to have another god with them though, since Uroboros showed up their chance of success just went up.
