Lakeside Animation Debuts Trailer For “The Death of James”

Sam Chou is re-teaming with Lakeside Animation and Blue Ant Media for a new animated short film called The Death of James. According to a rather long post on StyleTV, Sam notes that this is an idea that he’s had for over ten years and producers include Kristoffer W. Mikkelsen and Seo Kim as part of the project.

James is actually the name of a ferret of which two dudes now have to grapple with the furry fucker’s death in a story inspired by Ellery Vandooyeweert. Watch the trailer below.

Synopsis:

Based on a true story, “The Death of James” tells the unique journey of two young friends grappling with mortality as they are confronted with the impending loss of a cherished pet ferret. Humorous, awkward, and deeply heartbreaking, the film takes an unflinching look at death, loss, euthanasia, and the uncertainties that may or may not follow, viewed through the eyes of two characters navigating these challenges for the first time.
