English Dub Review: The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen “The Insolent Princess and the Judgment”

Overview:

Arthur’s power to grow crops is absolutely worthless for a knight. Or is it? Pride’s actions are about to change multiple lives forever.

Our Take:

All’s well that ends well I suppose. Who knew that Arthur’s ability to grow crops could also be used to heal Gilbert’s wife’s disease? I didn’t but it was a unique way for Pride to use his power and now she’s gained Gilbert’s trust and that is a big deal. In the original game Gilbert was one of the main enemies of Pride and with him now on her side things will be a lot smoother.

Harem anime are tricky because by it’s very nature you are going to upset people. In most cases only of the characters can “win”. So fans of any of the other characters will be upset but unlike a lot of other harem anime a series like this starts off in a unique place. In a lot of harem anime the main character starts with feelings for one of the characters and it goes from there. In these villainess anime I’ve noticed that the last thing these characters think about is romance. I’ve always been intrigued with how one of these shows would end but I don’t think we’ll find out anytime soon. All that to say I’m grateful that Gilbert already has a wife because we don’t need another harem member, though how he kissed Pride’s feet was awkward to say the least…
