English Dub Review: The Duke of Death and His Maid “Dance Party (Part 1)”

Overview:

The Duke and Alice visit the family mansion, where a fancy ball is about to take place.

Our Take:

With so many characters getting introduced it would be a shame if this show became less focused and got by on character tropes. But luckily, it’s not like that, and all the characters that have been introduced help flesh things out.

One of the things that I love about this series is that it took a character that was essentially a villain and made them one of my favorite characters. I’ve mentioned this before but I might be more invested in Daleth and Walter’s relationship than in the Duke and Alice’s. Perhaps that’s because we all know the Duke and Alice are going to get together once the curse has been lifted.

This is why a dance party is so interesting to me because I feel like we will finally see some major progress on that front. Not only that but since the dance party is being held at the family villa it means we will get to see the Duke interact with his mother. Since Sharon’s return, she has seemed a little different so perhaps their relationship can finally be mended.
