English Dub Review: Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation “Turning Point 3”

Overview:

Life is looking up for Rudeus. His sisters are settling in, and he has plenty of time for friends and family… until an announcement from Sylphie and an unexpected letter upend his idyllic school life.

Our Take:

Rudeus should have known that his happy life wouldn’t stay that way forever. Now that I say that out loud it’s sad when you think about it. No one’s life is happy one hundred percent of the time. For Rudeus to have his ideal family life he wants to have his father, mother, and Lilia there. But after receiving a letter from Geese he might have to come to the rescue himself because things aren’t going well.

One of the main problems however is that Sylphie is now pregnant and this isn’t a modern society so he can’t exactly travel and be right back. No, if he travels to help his father rescue his mother this will be a multi-month journey and Sylphie might have already given birth by the time he returns, and a visit from the Man-God in his dreams doesn’t help make the decision any easier. Luckily, Norn makes the decision a lot easier when she tries to leave by herself. She helps Rudeus realize he has the power to do what she can’t even though she’s willing to. Rudeus has grown a lot and realizes that there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his family.
