English Dub Review: BUCCHIGIRI?! “Temptation! Soup-Related Etceteras!”
Overview:
Ichiya leaves Shindo to inhabit Matakara’s body instead.
Our Take:
Matakara hasn’t been the same since his brother died. He doesn’t want to talk to anybody, especially Arajin after their dispute. This is partially because of a monster that he’s been seeing since he was a child. It’s also because a djinn name Ichiya, who used to be with Shindo, is now to Matakara what Senya is to Arajin.
Arajin is still his clueless self, which is irritating. Even Mahoro tells him off in this episode, which I wasn’t expecting. Ichiya instructs Matakara to fight Arajin, but he backs out. Ichiya then tries to bring Matakara’s anger out.
Arajin still doesn’t know anything about Ichiya, but Shindo says he’s going to tell him the whole truth. Senya has been hiding everything from him for some reason and I have a feeling we’re going to find out why.
This episode is just okay as a whole. A step down from the previous two, but at least it’s building up to the final battle. I’m still not liking Arajin here and honestly, I’m not a big fan of Senya in this episode either. His being secretive doesn’t sit well with me and it seems like he just wants to use Arajin. I don’t like Arajin, but that doesn’t automatically excuse Senya’s possible intentions.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
