I think one of the things about South Park that has made the series so endearing over the last three decades is the show's ability to adapt. Whereas some series constantly try to revisit what made them successful in the first place so as to placate a shrinking fanbase, South Park is constantly striving to dig new troughs for future success.
Just recently South Park Reddit commenter Dailey1234 asked about one such change, the aesthetic of South Park guest stars. In the old days of the show the producers of South Park would cutout and crudely insert images of famous people superimposed onto hand-drawn bodies. Nowadays South Park has relied less on cut out images for famous people in favor of just doing full illustrations, sometimes to an extreme degree in the case of Barbara Streisand and Snookie.
Below are the contrasting styles in questions South Park, featuring an illustrated Tom Cruise and the legendary Saddam Hussein which features half of the body illustrated complete with a cutout head.
Which do you prefer?

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
