English Dub Review: Sasaki and Peeps “Martial and Political Force / Suspicions and Sightseeing”

Overview:

Marc gets imprisoned and Sasaki comes up with a plan to free him.

Our Take:

Count Dietrich works with Hermann to formulate a plan to imprison Marc. Sasaki has become good friends with Marc and he’s also loyal to Count Mueller. Therefore, he comes up with a plan to sell the other world’s gold in his world in order to free Marc.

Elsa is suspicious of Sasaki and Peeps, so she follows them back home. This causes a stir and it also starts a little scuffle between Peeps and Futari Shizuka. After that’s settled, Elsa wants to explore Sasaki’s world.

There is some interesting development in these two episodes. Marc getting locked up is part of a larger scheme, as mentioned in the episode. The two princes are seeking the throne and that’s dividing the counts and citizens alike. This will likely lead to more schemes in the future.

Elsa seeing Sasaki’s world is a nice touch. I like that the roles are reversed for a change, even if it does cause some problems. We even get to see Peeps utilize curse magic on Futari Shizuka as a result of this. I know Peeps is a great starsage, but I still wasn’t expecting him to place a curse on anyone.

Speaking of Futari Shizuka, she is given a mission to neutralize one of her former comrades. Naturally, she enlists Sasaki’s help and that will likely lead to another interesting confrontation.
