English Dub Review: Sasaki and Peeps “Executions and Negotiations”

Overview:

Sasaki and Count Mueller try to negotiate with Count Dietrich.

Our Take:

Count Dietrich decides to have Marc executed. Hermann notifies Sasaki and Count Mueller of this, which prompts them to try and change Count Dietrich’s mind. Sasaki shows him some of the goods that he has sold Count Mueller. Count Dietrich agrees to call off the execution, but only if Sasaki agrees to sell exclusively to him.

Sasaki has a month to think this over. In the meantime, he’s still trying to get his own trading company started. Not only that, but he has matters to attend to in his own world as well.

This is a more uneventful episode in the grand scheme of things. We see more of what Count Dietrich’s plan entails as he tries to secure Hermann Trading Company and now Sasaki too. That part is intriguing, but the episode feels a little slow besides that.

We see a little bit of what’s going on in Sasaki’s world too, mainly with the neighbor girl. That doesn’t get a lot of focus, but Sasaki and Futari Shizuka still have a mission to carry out. It will probably only be a matter of time before more of these events develop.
