English Dub Review Laid Back Camp “Winter’s End and the Day of Departure”
Overview
Nadeshiko arrives at her campsite and begins experimenting with outdoor cooking when two kids show up.
Our Take
The girls embark on planning another group camping trip, this time scheduled for March, following their delightful Christmas camp from the previous season. The preparations proceed smoothly, with each girl contributing to the plan while balancing their part-time jobs. Their teacher also lends a hand in ensuring everything is set up before the day of the trip on the condition that she doesn’t drink alcohol for two weeks. However, the absence of Chikuwa dampens the spirits slightly, although Rin and Ena enthusiastically agree to join them.
As preparations continue, Rin’s grandfather makes a heartwarming appearance, showcasing his unwavering dedication to Rin’s well-being. His attentive care for Rin’s scooter and the comical reveal about Rin’s mother also riding a motorcycle, highlight the familial bonds and the quirky dynamics within Rin’s family. Then the last scene comically reveals how Rin’s secret was leaked out to Ena which gave me a good chuckle.
Overall, a decent episode that sets up what to expect for the last 3 episodes. I also Loved how caring Rin’s grandfather continues to be. Especially after he went out of his way to save her scooter battery and drove at her behest at 3 am just to protect her from the cold winds. Also, the place they all plan to camp upon research is famous for having Capybaras which I thought was interesting in itself. I guess we’ll have to see what happens next after this!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
