English Dub Season Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season Three
Overview:
The third season of The Daily Life of the Immortal King
Our Take:
I wondered when this would get dubbed, season four is airing right now and the first episode is getting dubbed soon. So I suppose it makes sense that they dropped all of season three and normally I have a hard time going through a whole season for this job but for this series it was a breeze because of how fun it was.
There were so many references in this season that I couldn’t help but to enjoy every second of it. From Pokemon to visual novels, there are plenty of things that for anyone to enjoy here. My recollection of season two is a little foggy so the beginning of this season was a little off to me but when you notice this show doesn’t take itself seriously at all you’ll realize you shouldn’t either.
This season was massively entertaining and one big part of that was an OP that I couldn’t skip. If you love the shamisen being mixed with more modern intrusments then you will have a hard time skipping this opening.
The only downside that I have to say about this season was a typical Crunchyroll problem, and that is on-screen translations. For the most part it wasn’t too intrusive or that big a problem but for the visual novel episode I mentioned earlier it was a big problem. I don’t know if you’ve ever played a visual novel but there is a lot of written dialogue and choices. Since this is an animated medium a lot of the dialogue was voiced so that wasn’t a problem but I have a feeling there was some comedy gold in the choice options and at the time of this writing at least those were untranslated.
This problem was so minor though that I can still wholeheartedly recommend watching this season if you have caught up. If you haven’t started this series yet then I envy you because you are in for a huge treat. Not only that but you won’t have to wait long to get more of this wonderful series with the fourth season being dubbed very soon.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
