English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “Way-of-Heaven-level Swordsmanship”;“Snack Noodle in Collector’s Edition”

Overview:

Wang Ling decides to take his studies a bit more seriously and try to avoid causing massive damage as well. Sun Rong is sick and Wang Ling comes to visit and cheers up with some games and prizes.

Our Take:

I told ya’ll that we didn’t have long to wait! Not only that but we were blessed with a two episode premiere and it was just what we needed. This is a hilarious show with a lot of heart and fun action, if I had to make a comparison it reminds me a lot of a Chinese One Punch Man. Just instead of a superhero we have a living god instead. I have to say that the character development of Wang Ling has been pretty good. It’s been small bits and pieces but it’s there, he used to not really care about anyone but now there have been a few people he’s put his secrecy on the line for.

Honestly, the only negative I have to say about this series is the episodes are on the short side and I would really like more progressions from the romance between Wang Ling and Sun Rong. It seems like we might be getting some progress soon but when someone essentially remakes the world for you I would figure there would be some sort of conversation.
