English Dub Review: Sasaki and Peeps “A Magical Man and a Third World”
Overview:
Sasaki and Hoshizaki try to recruit a new psychic. Sasaki also learns about another enemy they must face.
Our Take:
Sasaki has a lot to deal with in this episode. First, the time conversion between the two worlds is out of whack. Then he has to go on a mission with Hoshizaki in an attempt to recruit a high schooler psychic. Finally, he learns about magical girls and encounters one. He’s already met her previously, but he didn’t know who she was or that she had a vendetta against psychics.
There is a lot to take in here, but I think this episode does a good job at giving each part of the story time. There’s also a little section that involves Sasaki’s neighbor. That one doesn’t get as much time, but I’m sure that will lead to something more. Everything we see in this episode will, more than likely.
I’m interested in the high school boy Hoshizaki and Sasaki try to recruit. He has fire powers, but it’s clear that he doesn’t know how to control them. So much so that he puts people in danger. He doesn’t do it on purpose, but it almost turns into a serious problem.
I also want to learn more about the magical girls. This show is using a lot of different magic systems. We’ve seen incantations, psychic abilities, and now usual anime magical girls. I’m kind of into that though since I love magic. It can get a little confusing from a logical standpoint, but I don’t mind. If anything, I think it helps this series stand out a little more.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
