English Dub Review: BUCCHIGIRI?! “Wanna Take You On! The Chu Chu Chinese Pepper Steak Train!”
Overview:
Arajin showcases some amazing strength in his fight against Marito. So much so that both rival gangs are interested in recruiting him.
Our Take:
Senya partially merges with Arajin, which gives him immense strength in his fight against Marito. Marito stills beats him, but he’s also now interested in recruiting Arajin into his gang, Matakara is amazed by Arajin’s strength as well and he wants him to join the gang he’s in.
Arajin is still only focused on Mahoro, even though she made it clear that she only has eyes for her brother. Despite that, Arajin is determined to get with her and he doesn’t think about doing anything else, even if it hurts his childhood friend.
Arajin is an idiot, plain and simple. He only cares about losing his virginity and getting with Mahoro. She broke the present he gave her right in front of him and he still can’t take a hint. He’s pretty pathetic and Mahoro’s not any better. I can’t stand her sibling complex and the way she toys with Arajin is frustrating.
Matakara and Arajin almost have a bonding moment in this episode, but Arajin screws that up. I don’t know what exactly happened between those two, but I hope we find out soon. I’ve been liking Matakara so far and I want to see more of him.
I’ve been liking Senya a lot too. He has some sort of admiration for Arajin, especially when he finds out that he was training to b a Honki person. At least we have characters like these two to balance out the not so great ones.
This episode is still entertaining despite the flaws of certain characters. It also continues a running gag of a man who goes into a brothel and tries not to get noticed. I’m loving this gag and a lot of the show’s humor in general. The action is pretty cool too and we get a couple of fight scenes here. I hope BUCCHIGIRI?! continues to build on its strengths and at least tries to improve the main character. That could take the show up a notch.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
