Overview:
Will has become a lord and developed “Torch Port, a river port of light;” he receives a prophecy from the king of the forest about a calamity that will come from the Rust Mountains.
Our Take:
This series was one that I forgot was coming back but when it did I was pleasantly surprised. If you were reading my weekly reviews of the series then you probably saw that I kept comparing this to an anime version of The Lord of the Rings and as this series progressed the similarities came up more often. I suppose it would make more sense to compare it to The Hobbit instead what with the dragon, mountain adventure, and dwarves but you know what I mean.
I think this was a fun series and I enjoyed getting to see more of Will and everyone but once again this isn’t the end by any means and after doing some research I don’t think we are going to get a season three anytime soon. Turns out the light novel on which this series is based has been on hiatus since 2017 and this season covered most of what has come out thus far. This makes me wonder why they would decide to adapt this series at all but that’s for a different time.
All that being said I would still recommend watching this series especially if you’re a big fantasy fan. This might be the closest we get to a LotR anime soon and that is just one of the reasons to watch. The animation is great and I enjoyed all the fight scenes and characters. Not enough romance for my taste but hey it can’t be everywhere, right?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
