English Dub Review: The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent “Final Act; Longing“
Overview
“Final Act”
To combat the source of the miasma and the unusual monsters in the area, Sei and her faithful guard venture into the local mine, where a frightful danger awaits them…
“Longing”
It seems that Sei’s duties as a Holy Saint are coming to an end with the purification of the last miasma swamp. Now Sei must start thinking about her future.
Our Take
This time around we have two dubbed episodes to cover. In the first one, Sei, Hawke, and Yuri persist in locating miasma spots within Hawke’s domain, particularly the unsettling swamp in the abandoned mine infested with rotting undead monsters. However, when she casts her “area heal” spell, the monsters become aware, and Yuri offers cleaning up the area by himself, challenging Sei’s use of her Holy powers as a last resort…
As for the other episode, we witness the aftermath of Sei’s task. With all the miasma swamps cleared, it’s finally time for Sei and Albert to unwind. But it’s here when Albert takes a gamble by dropping hints for a private date, revealing Sei’s budding feelings for Hawke. She seems to be giving it a try, despite getting flustered whenever the topic arises…
Overall, both of these episodes went full circle in some ways giving a small sense of finality since they somewhat worked as a two-part story. For the first one, The battle to cleanse the swamp sure felt like a herculean task, with the ambush at the bridge adding an unexpected twist. While the other one excelled in terms of giving the characters (and audience) proper breathing room, focusing solely on Sei and Albert even if Sei was sad at the possibility of not being able to see him, since the two are now no longer obligated to see each other as much, it’s going to be interesting to see how Albert makes his next move with her at this point. But with two episodes left, what obstacles could they possibly face next?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
