English Dub Review: The Faraway Paladin The Lord of the Rust Mountains “The Evil Dragon and the Goddess”

Overview:

The battle between Will and Valacirca rages on. Will has exhausted his strength and depleted his mana, his companions have fallen, and his beloved weapon, Pale Moon, is broken. Then, just when the situation is looking dire…

Our Take:

Instead of a human ghost army, we got an army of ghost dwarves, which I think might be better. However, it is starting to feel more and more like a LotR anime because there are almost too many similarities. But it’s good to finally get back to this series it was leaving me in suspense and my only downside would be that this fight is starting to feel dragged out. It’s like a boss fight in a JRPG that has five phases to it.

One of those phases unfortunately includes Will’s spear breaking. Since it was such an important item to him I was surprised to see it go but something tells me it will get fixed. Will can’t be out here using a cursed sword all the time now can he?

I’m hoping that next week we finally get a conclusion to this arc, since it’s the last episode I would guess so. With the boom in isekai lately, I have a feeling we might get more of this series but we’ll have to see.
