English Dub Review: Shy “What Is Conveyed and That Which Remains”
Overview:
Stigma’s twisted endeavors have allowed Pepesha and Letana to finally say all the things they never could in the past. As their battle climaxes and closes, much is revealed about their relationship and Stigma.
Our Take:
This arc ended up going pretty well, It was heartbreaking and sad, but well. I lost my mother when I was pretty young and if I had had a chance to talk with her the way Pepesha got to talk with her mother that would have been very bittersweet. Especially, if she was also trying to kill me at first. But luckily she came to her senses for long enough to have a heart-to-heart chat.
Whenever a show has episodes like this it reminds me that while I understand that certain things can be left unsaid, it’s better if they don’t. Don’t ever just assume that someone knows how you feel because before you know it they could be gone.
Stigma’s evil plan managed to do some good which begs the question, how evil is it? We live in an age of nuanced villains. No longer do they twirl mustaches and put ladies on railroad tracks. We can relate to them and in my opinion that makes them scarier. Who wouldn’t want to grant people wishes and make them happy? But like the Monkey’s Paw, it gets twisted along the way.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
