English Dub Review: Heaven Official’s Blessing “S2-E12”

Overview:

Xie Lian returns to heaven to fix some of the problems created in his absence.

Our Take:

I’m going to be real honest with you… the way this episode ended I have no idea what just happened. One second Xie Lian is dealing with his shitty cousin who desecrated his mother’s corpse and the next it seems we are witness to his greatest hits since the first episode. I was more invested in what was going to happen to the body of the person that his cousin possessed because his daughter was pleading for his life.

It almost feels like we are nearing the endgame for this series but as I stated earlier I have no clue what is going on. The visuals for this series are fantastic and when the story hits, it hits. But there are things about this series I just can’t follow. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this with this series which is my only disappointment with this series.
