English Dub Review: Goblin Slayer “O Prayers, Have You Reached Heaven?”

Overview:

Goblin Slayer and party manage to save the Princess but end up having to face a rather unexpected, terrifying foe.

Our Take:

There was a whole lot in this episode that freaked me out. The creepy demon hand the party had to find a way to defeat was the first thing. The whole time they were fighting it I was thinking “Hey this isn’t a goblin so just run away” and I think they would have if they could. What was almost creepier was that after they managed to make it out of the temple they were surrounded by hundreds of goblins. Normally that wouldn’t be so bad because worst case scenario they die fighting but then you remember the tone this series set when it came to goblins. There won’t be easy deaths for everyone involved so they needed to come out on top.

Luckily for us viewers and Goblin Slayer’s crew, Sword Maiden showed up with an army essentially to save the day. I felt bad for Sword Maiden because she showed a lot of courage to show up to face an enemy that she is absolutely terrified of. This season of Goblin Slayer had some ups and downs but I still think it was a lot of fun and I really hope we get a third season.
