English Dub Review: Classroom of the Elite “Man is wolf to man.”

Overview:

Yukimura injures his leg while the group is training for the upcoming tests. He later devises a plan for how the group should handle the marathon and then the day of the four tests arrives.

Our Take:

This episode almost lulled me into a false sense of safety. I saw how everyone in the boy’s class was getting along and helping each other and started to think “Oh it’s not all cutthroat and backstabbing, some of these guys look out for each other” but then I was brought back to the cruel reality of this school.

But first I would like to talk about how everyone came together and worked on what they were strong at to compensate for other’s weaknesses and came out with a good group score. Yukimura injured his leg so he wasn’t going to be great in a marathon so the rest of the guys picked up his slack.

Where it all fell apart was with Horikita’s bet that he won. Sure he won but because of someone playing him, it got his friend expelled. But to Horikita’s credit, he decided to use his points to keep his friend from getting expelled so we will see how that affects him in the future.
