English Dub Review: The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You “The Quiet Princess, the Knight, and the Samurai”

Overview:

Rentarou meets Shizuka Yoshimoto and they bond over their love of romance novels.

Our Take:

Rentarou finds his next soulmate while he’s at the library. Her name is Shizuka Yoshimoto and she has trouble talking to people. So much so, in fact, that communicates by pointing to lines in a book. It’s actually pretty impressive since she knows exactly where to point without looking.

She lends Rentarou a romance novel, which he ends up loving. He also helps Shizuka find an easier way to communicate so the book isn’t the main focus. Shizuka was bullied her whole life by other kids, and even abused by own mother, due to her inability to speak. It’s heartbreaking to see how lonely she is because of this, but it’s heartwarming to see Rentarou help her.

Rentarou now has three girlfriends out of 100. The other two are surprised when Rentarou says he will now be dating Shizuka as well, but they go along with pretty easily. Like I said last time, it’s nice to see that all of the girlfriends so far have very different personalities. I really like Shizuka. She’s sweet and kind, and she’s a welcome addition to this harem.
