Bob’s Burgers: And The New Voice Of Jimmy Pesto Is…; FOX Holiday Episodes Announced

Unlike most of the voice acting changes as of late, this one wasn’t as a result of hearsay allegations or Disney bending to arbitrary woke-trends, rather the former voice of Jimmy Pesto aka Jay Johnston was actually arrested by the FBI and charged with a crime, so I can see why the producers of Bob’s Burgers would want to replace Jay due to his January 6th shenanigans. Still though, I think I would’ve written out the character with something newer and fresher rather than just have someone replace the voice, especially if you were going to pick THIS actor as the replacement who can give you anything you need any more in any voice department.

Eric Bauza! That’s right, legendary voice actor Eric Bauza was announced as the new voice of Jimmy Pesto as of last night’s episode of Bob’s Burgers. For those that don’t know, Jimmy Pesto is Bob’s primary business rival who owns an Italian-themed restaurant across the street with his friend Trev, and his three sons: Jimmy Jr. (Benjamin), Tina’s somewhat oblivious love interest who just wants to dance; and hyperactive and childish twins Andy (Laura Silverman) and Ollie (Sarah Silverman), who are friends of Louise.

The role of Jimmy Pesto wasn’t the first voice change this season, as the producers sought fit to replace the voice of Marshmallow from David Herman to Jari Jones which, again, lends itself to the more woke-fluenced voice actor changes that Disney-produced FOX series have been going through the last couple of years.

FOX has announced that Bob’s Burgers will be a part of their holiday offerings this season. FOX’s animated fan favorites celebrate the season with all-new holiday episodes, starting with a special Thanksgiving episode of The Simpsons, airing Sunday, November 19 (8:00-8:30PM ET/PT), and on Sunday, December 17 (9:00-10:00PM ET/PT), a full hour of holiday fun with Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy.

BOB’S BURGERS returns to FOX for its 14th season this fall. The series follows BOB (H. Jon Benjamin) and his quirky family, who help him run the restaurant.

The series won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program twice, in 2014 and 2017, and has been nominated in the category every year since 2012. The show also has earned the Annie Award for Best General Audience Animated Television Production, as well as awards for writing and for voice acting (H. Jon Benjamin).

Season 14 will feature its annual holiday-themed episodes, as well as new and returning guest voices, including Megan Mullally, Rachel Dratch, Jillian Bell, Billy Eichner and Sarah Silverman.

BOB’S BURGERS is produced by 20th Television Animation. The series was created and is executive-produced by Loren Bouchard. Nora Smith, Dan Fybel, Rich Rinaldi, Greg Thompson, Jon Schroeder, Steven Davis, Scott Jacobson, Holly Schlesinger, Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin also serve as executive producers. The series was co-developed by Jim Dauterive. Bouchard and Smith are showrunners for the upcoming season.
