English Dub Review: The Faraway Paladin The Lord of the Rust Mountains “The Paladin and the Troubadour”

Our Take:

I’m not gonna lie I completely forgot that this anime was coming back. But talk about a pleasant surprise! I’ve been in a dark fantasy mood and this feels like it will scratch that itch. All the love in the world to Erica Mendez but I was glad that for Will’s adulthood, we got a more adult-sounding voice. I believe that Chris Hackney has taken over the role of Will. I think this will be a great season because if I remember correctly this one was just starting to get interesting when the first season ended.

The animation is beautiful and the characters so far are pretty interesting. It’s a dark fantasy but there’s still a little bit of whimsy as well. I think what I like about it so much is it gives me The Lord of the Rings vibes. That makes me think The Lord of the Rings anime would be really good. The first episode was a bit slow but it definitely has me intrigued for more.
