English Dub Review: The Duke of Death and His Maid “The Duke, Alice, and the Flying Broom”

Overview:

Alice gets a flying broom, and the Duke gets a pair of unusual visitors with a shocking offer.

Our Take: 

I know I’ve mentioned it multiple times but the characters for this are absolutely fantastic. The Duke is such a good character and maybe it’s because he reminds me of my favorite superhero, Spider-Man. Bear with me because I promise it makes sense. The Duke wants to lift his curse but not at any cost. He’s already proved this when he asked the genie to restore his curse earlier. There is a wizard who wants to use Zain’s time power to go back in time to kill Sade, Daleth’s twin sister and the witch who cursed the Duke. The Duke would like to find another way to end his curse without killing anyone and I think that says a lot about him as a person.

The most exciting thing about this episode was that there was mention of a wizard’s academy. Now if you know anything about me you’ll know that I love Harry Potter so if we get to see a magic school I am beyond excited. There’s only a couple of episodes left but I think we are going to get an excellent end to the season.
