English Dub Review: TenPuru: No One Can Live on Loneliness “No One Should Live Alone”
Overview
In an effort to impart some much-needed wisdom, Kiki suddenly refuses to continue training Yuzuki. Yuzuki and Akagami think hard about the words of their master and the circumstances that have led them to fight so hard for Mikazuki Temple.
Our Take
As Yuzuki considers apologizing to Akemitsu, she runs away when she sees him and Tsukuyo returning home with Akemitsu’s new phone. Akemitsu also considers apologizing after Kiki advises him not to forget what is important to him. A family of worshippers move their family grave to another temple and Kiki despairs when Yuzuki does it without charging the fees. Kiki abruptly ends Yuzuki’s training without explanation. Without training, and with Akemitsu doing most of the chores, Yuzuki has nothing to do and despairs at feeling helpless. Yuzuki later goes missing during a thunderstorm so Akemitsu runs into the rain to find her. Dizzy from fever Yuzuki remembers her mother successfully running the temple by herself, and fears she has failed.
Akemitsu later finds her under a bridge and carries her home. After she recovers Akemitsu asks her to stop trying to do everything alone and to let him help. Everyone eavesdropping agrees, they all love the Mikazuki temple and will keep it running together. Having learned not to worry about what people think of her, Kiki declares Yuzuki has moved closer to Enlightenment and will resume training once her fever improves. Yuzuki quits her job searching and decides to repair the idol by finding a potentially effective solution…
Overall, this was a decent way to end the season. Symbolically, we started the season with the two of them meeting so it’s only right our final episode somewhat ends with focusing on the two. I also enjoyed seeing Akagami develop throughout the season. While he comes across as kind of a hapless horny dolt, who is often thrust into awkwardly sexual situations, his heart has always been in the right place and he does make an effort to help everyone through their problems in different ways. Although this show at its core was somewhat an “Ecchi” comedy with Harem vibes all over, at the very least it wasn’t boring.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
